Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?
Sasha became transgender when she began her time in high school. These were tough years, but Sasha was confident that with the help of his family and music she could take on anything. Jim and Sasha have both written songs and have recently joined as an official duo. They've played at local open mics as well as other venues. The Voice coaches didn't discuss Sasha's past, but Jim and he shared their story before they performed. Jim and Sasha talked about what music they enjoy and how Sasha took up guitar the very first time at six. As his father is a professional music educator, he was better able to grasp the concept. Sasha was a troubled teenager with gender identification. In an Instagram post Sasha recently spoke out about the struggles he faced. Jim was overcome with tears as he described why it was impossible for him to be in these difficult times. Sasha Allen was born in the form of a woman. Sasha Allen turns 19 in 2021. At the time Sasha was in freshman the high school system, he made the decision to come out to be transgender, and then began the transition into male. Sasha posted his Instagram: "I'm proud to be the third transgender person transgendered gender who has appeared on this show. I am so happy to be a part of this segment of the community."
